How do I locate a lost handset?

Press the All button on the Base Unit. All the handsets will ring for one minute.
To stop the ringing, either answer one of the handsets or press All on the Base Unit again.

How do I improve Quality of Service (QoS) on my network to improve my phone call quality?

QoS, or Quality of Service, refers to configuring your network to support high-quality telephone calls. Most customers simply connect their Panasonic TGP550 to their Internet router and start using the service. In some situations, you may improve performance by enabling QoS. It may also be necessary to configure your firewall to allow the Base Unit to have unrestricted communication with the ACN network.

How do I set up a static IP on my Panasonic KX-TGP550 Base Unit?

A static IP address is not supported on this device. Your Panasonic phone system requires a network DHCP configuration, which is commonly built into Internet routers. If your business network doesn't require a static IP address, you have a DHCP server.

My Panasonic KX-TGP550 Base Unit isn't working. What can I do?

The LED light on your Panasonic Base Station provides system status information that is helpful in troubleshooting if you have problems.

Off: Either the power source or Ethernet cable is not properly connected.
Solid Green: Device is registered and ready to use.
Blinking Green: Device is downloading, allow it to complete.
Solid Amber: IP address conflict.
Slow Blinking Amber: Device is obtaining an IP and obtaining its configuration.
Fast Blinking Amber: If continues after power cycle, device is defective.
Solid Red: Normal during 1st 10 seconds after power up.
Slow Blinking Red: A handset is registering.
Fast Blinking Red: Handset(s) are being paged.

Network Requirements

Your Panasonic Base Station must be connected to a wired, working Internet connection.
This phone has been designed so that you can simply connect your phone into your Internet router and start using the service. In some circumstances, it may be necessary to configure your firewall, particularly for older or more complex firewalls. The following ports should be open: SIP (TCP 5065), Web (TCP 80), Syslog (UDP 514, 5514), and RTP (UDP 49152-65535).
Static IP addressing is not supported but requires an IP address assigned by your router.
Bandwidth requirements = 90kbps per call

Checking Your IP address:

From Base:
- Press menu (middle button).
- Scroll down to IP service (tool box icon), press select.
- Press select on Network Setting.
- Scroll down to IP settings, press select.
- The IP address on the screen is the address currently assigned to the phone. Scrolling down further will display the subnet mask, gateway address, and DNS addresses.
- To exit the menu, press exit.
From Extension:
- Press menu (press joystick = center button under word menu).
- Scroll down to IP service (tool box icon), press select.
- Press select on Network Setting.
- Scroll down to IP settings, press select.
- The IP address on the screen is the address currently assigned to the phone. Scrolling down further will display the subnet mask, gateway address, and DNS addresses.
- To exit the menu, press off.
From PC:
- Click Start – All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt
- Type ipconfig/all
